Expertise Across the Academic Lifespan
Most educational consultants specialize in one slice of the learning ecosystem. I’ve spent 20+ years understanding how it all connects—from K-12 literacy instruction to doctoral completion, from classroom teaching to EdTech product development, from faculty positions at major research universities to global partnerships that bridge cultures and systems.
I’m Dr. Jayne C. Lammers, a former tenured professor, Fulbright U.S. Scholar, and Women in AI Fellow. Through Dr. Jayne Consulting Services, Inc., I partner with students, educators, institutions, and organizations to turn research into impact.
What This Means for You
Doctoral Students
I’ve guided 65+ students through dissertation completion since 2010 at the University of Rochester, University of Pennsylvania, Arizona State University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, NYU, and others through my advising and consulting work. I create systems that turn overwhelm into steady progress, providing strategic guidance, accountability, and expert feedback when you need it most.
Higher Education Programs
I design institutional solutions that lower doctoral “time to completion” rates and strengthen faculty capacity through structured writing groups, dissertation circles, and professional development for faculty, staff, and students. I support the ethical use of generative AI in the research and academic writing processes. I understand academic program realities because I’ve lived them.

International Partners
As a Fulbright U.S. Scholar and collaborator with scholars from a variety of countries and cultures, I bring expertise in cross-cultural research partnerships. I can increase researcher capacity and support academic publishing productivity across educational systems and cultures.
K-12 Education Leaders
My literacy expertise is grounded in research-based practices for pedagogy and student learning. I’ve prepared teachers, designed professional development, led curriculum innovation, and supported technology integration. I understand the gap between “research says” and “this works in my classroom” and can help you build teacher capacity, integrate EdTech and AI literacy thoughtfully, and develop sustainable programs that lead to meaningful student learning.
EdTech & Publishing Companies
For nearly three and a half years, I served as Director of Learning Design at Edmentum, translating research into product strategy and leading cross-functional teams at scale. I speak fluently to researchers, educators, students, and policymakers. I can help ensure your products are grounded in learning science and meet diverse stakeholder needs. I bring secondary literacy expertise to design solutions for the pressing need for foundational literacy learning to older students.
My Approach
I believe the best work integrates head and heart, paring rigorous thinking with genuine care. I create systems with structure and accountability while leaving room for real life’s complexity. I don’t do surface-level fixes. I’m interested in sustainable solutions that build capacity and create lasting change.
Let’s Talk
Whether you’re seeking dissertation guidance, institutional support, teacher capacity building, EdTech consultation, or international collaboration, I’d welcome a conversation.
